Bungee Fitness is an exciting new way to have a fun, high-energy motion-based cardio workout. Participants are connected to ceiling anchor points via a harness and specially designed bungee cords. Calibrated to your individual weight, the cords provide resistance and buoyancy to your movements. You are not suspended - your feet remain on the ground - yet you can squat, jump, leap and fly while being supported and restrained by the bungee cords.
Everyone must start with Intro to Bungee. This class will show you how to get into the harness, learn basic footwork and elevate your heart rate! You are welcome and encouraged to take this class as many times as you want to before moving onto the other class styles. If you are interested in our most advanced class 'Bungee Fly', you will first need to go to an Intro to Fly class due to resistance bands being added for more advanced fly moves.
You will want to wear tight leggings, high-impact sports bra, and good workout shoes! Please bring clean workout shoes to change into prior to class. Wearing shorts on top of leggings will provide additional layers as the harnesses can rub some and cause irritation. Prepare to get sweaty! If your hair is of a length in which it will get in the way or cause distractions, please pull it up. For BUNGEE FLY, knee pads are recommended but not required.
Bring a water! We cannot stress this enough. You can bring a small towel as well. Please bring any additional clothing you may need for the class.
Clothing, beverages, and cooling towels are available to purchase.
Don’t be late! The weighing/hookup process begins AT THE CLASS TIME LISTED. Once class starts, our instructors will not be able to stop the warm-up, unhook their bungee, and set-up for late arrivals.
Please reschedule at least 12 hours in advance to your scheduled class beginning. Reschedules outside the permitted time range can still be charged for the class that was originally scheduled. If you do not contact us and no-show for a scheduled class, a reschedule or credit will not be considered.
If you suffer from any ailments, please talk to a physician before starting any new type of fitness or exercise program. Some restrictions specific to Bungee Fitness include pregnancy, any recent surgeries, weight of less than 90 lbs. or a weight of greater than 300 lbs. Participants must be at least 14 years old. Participants under 18 must have a physical waiver signed by a parent or guardian.
While bungee fitness reduces impact by up to 70 percent, it is still a high-energy exercise workout. If you struggle to do one burpee unassisted, cannot do a squat, or have any difficulty staying active for more than three minutes at a time, you may find this workout too challenging. However, an Intro to Bungee class is always suggested if you are wanting to try it out and Senior/Mobility Impaired classes are offered for those that cannot participate in one of our regular classes.
We’re sorry, but children are not allowed inside the studio unattended. This is for liability reasons and their safety. Our staff is not there to watch your children during class. As well, this is not a spectator exercise, we kindly ask that guests not watch during class out of respect and privacy of our clients.
